In the spirit of the most festive time of the year, Torres Novas joined forces with Gleba to create a unique moment of sharing and inspiration. Friends from both brands were brought together for a special workshop, where the scent of Christmas filled the air.

The theme? Christmas cookies, with an exclusive Torres Novas recipe. Amid laughter, conversation, and the occasional small mishap typical of group cooking, everyone learned the tricks to make delicious biscuits, perfect for gifting or recreating with family.

More than a culinary experience, this gathering celebrated friendship, tradition, and creativity – elements essential to both Torres Novas and Gleba. The workshop showed that Christmas is, above all, made of small moments of sharing.

We’re sharing the exclusive Torres Novas recipe so you can recreate this moment in your own kitchen. Discover how to make cookies that combine flavour and tradition:

  • 200g Butter
  • 280g Brown sugar
  • 1 heaped tablespoon Honey
  • Zest of 1 Orange
  • 20g Ground cinnamon
  • 2g Ground cardamom
  • 2g Ground nutmeg
  • 2g Ground ginger
  • 1 Egg
  • 400g Spelt flour
  • 4g Salt
  • 6g Baking powder

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, combine the butter, brown sugar, honey, the zest of one whole orange, and all the spices (cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, and ginger).
  2. Whisk everything together until fully combined.
  3. Add the egg and whisk again.
  4. Once mixed, add the spelt flour, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Mix until a smooth, homogeneous dough forms.
  6. Place the dough between two sheets of parchment paper and roll out to about 5mm thickness.
  7. Using cookie cutters, cut the dough as desired and place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake at 170°C for 12 minutes.
